Telkomsel's Collaboration with Xendit and ANGIN Opens Opportunities for Acceleration and Growth of Indonesia's Startup Entrepreneur Ecosystem

Jakarta, July 4, 2023 - Continuing its leading role as a digital ecosystem enabler, Telkomsel, through its innovation ecosystem platform, T-Connext and corporate accelerator Tinc, once again opens collaboration opportunities for the growth and acceleration of Indonesia's entrepreneurial ecosystem through the LinkUp speed-dating event, in collaboration with Xendit, Southeast Asia's leading digital payment infrastructure provider, and Angel Investment Network Indonesia (ANGIN). Aiming to revive the startup ecosystem after the COVID-19 pandemic, LinkUp became an event to connect potential startups, angel investors, and venture capitals through a series of activities that took place in Jakarta, (27/6).

Serving as a connecting platform for early-stage entrepreneurs, the LinkUp event brought together 8 pre-seed and seed stage startups with 8 angel investors at the Angel Session. Then, by presenting 25 venture capitals that are actively looking for the latest innovations, LinkUp opens up the potential for further investment for 42 seed and series B-stage startups from various industry sectors at the VC Session. LinkUp also held a Networking Dinner Session for all attendees. A total of 50 startups participated in the LinkUp event, selected through strict selection and curation, through the assessment of a number of aspects, ranging from idea innovation, market potential, and business scalability.

Telkomsel Vice President Business Development and Innovation Jockie Heruseon said, "Telkomsel continues to ensure the sustainability of its commitment in opening more opportunities for growth and acceleration of the digital ecosystem, which this time is realized through the LinkUp event, by collaborating with Xendit and ANGIN. The speed-dating concept in the LinkUp event is designed so that selected startup players can present ideas, demonstrate product excellence, build valuable business connections and relationships, and are expected to encourage collaboration between startups and investors to further strengthen strong business fundamentals in various phases of life. Through this LinkUp event, where business people in the digital sector can meet directly and share insights, Telkomsel is consistent in taking a leading role as a driver of a digital ecosystem that has an inclusive and sustainable value-added impact."

"We are proud to announce the launch of the LinkUp Event, which will bring together startups and investors in a collaborative environment. Xendit is fully committed to helping the development of digital startups in Indonesia. We received a lot of support from various parties when we started our Xendit journey, so the launch of LinkUp is our effort to contribute to supporting the next generation of founders. LinkUp can be a platform for startups to access the resources, mentorship and funding they need to accelerate business growth," said Xendit COO Tessa Wijaya.

As part of the synergy of superior assets from Telkomsel's T-Connext platform, the LinkUp event is expected to further expand the reach of exploration initiatives and encourage the growth of the digital product ecosystem, as well as Telkomsel's investment portfolio with players in the startup ecosystem. Meanwhile, the presence of Tinc in LinkUp also confirms Telkomsel's commitment to collaborate with local innovators, especially in the potential development of startup commercialization plans with companies going forward.
